CHAMBER HISTORY
The Hispano Chamber of Commerce de Las Cruces was initiated in 1992 as the Hispano Chamber of Dona Ana County, and in 1994 incorporated as The Hispano Chamber of Commerce de Las Cruces. The original founders consisted of a group of business persons interested in developing a support organization for small businesses; particularly Hispanic small businesses.

The Chamber is administered by a 14-member board with the president serving a two-year term and board members serving one-year on staggered terms. Elections are held annually at the membership meeting in September. Nominations for board positions are solicited from the membership and/or any member interested in serving may submit a letter of interest prior to elections. Vacancies occurring from an unexpired term will be filled by appointment until elections are held.
